Problem: While archiving email from a Microsoft Exchange server or Office 365 the following error occurs:

Microsoft Exchange Server was unable to complete the task. Details: The message exceeds the maximum supported size. EWS Error Code: ErrorMessageSizeExceeded.

Solution: The size of messages that can be retrieved by MailStore Server through the Exchange Web Services (EWS) is limited by the Exchange Server. The Exchange Server's configuration has to be adapted accordingly as described in the following article:

Please note: These Exchange limits also apply to Office 365 but are managed by Microsoft there and cannot be changed.

With Exchange Server 2013 the parameters described in the article are sometimes ignored by the Exchange Server. Please install Exchange Server 2013 SP1 in this case.
