Symptom:

MailStore Dashboard reports: "At least one archiving or export profile uses unencrypted connections or has the option "Accept all certificates" enabled.

MailStore profiles report: "Insecure: This ... profile is using unencrypted connections or the option "Accept all certificates" is enabled"

Root Cause:

After a long transition period, where we just informed about potentially insecure outgoing connections, we are now with version 13 actively warning about insecure connections due to certificate errors or by ignoring these errors. The transmission of access data over potentially insecure connections due to untrustworthy certificates poses a considerable risk, as e.g. enables so-called man-in-the-middle attacks with self-signed certificates.

Solution:

Use trustworthy certificates (Let's Encrypt, external or internal certification authority) or accept the warning message and enable the connection.
